Bedroom Makeover for Under $100
We are not gentle on our comforters in my house. We don’t go out of our way to treat our bedding well. I gave up the fight a long time ago of asking my husband to keep his shoes off the bed. If he, for some reason, wants to take a quick nap on top of our comforter with his shoes on, I’ve stopped disrupting his slumber. The only breakthrough we’ve had is that we’ve finally trained our 70 lb dogs to stay off of our bed. That doesn’t mean that the sides of our comforters aren’t coated in dog hair, but it’s a start.
So, when it’s time to replace our comforter, which I seem to do about once every year or two, I don’t want to overspend. Oh, and I laugh in the face of the lighter-colored comforters which look so nice…for someone else without black dogs and without shoes on the bed. Right now, Macy’s is running a nice Home Sale with 20-60% lots of stuff for the home, and I am VERY pleased to see the discounts on bedding. In fact, lazy as it may sound, I’m a sucker for a good bed-in-a-bag set, just because it requires so little thinking on my part and Macy’s is hitting a homerun in that arena today. They have ton’s of bed-in-a-bag sets on sale including several 7-pc Sets for $70, 8-pc Sets for $100 and 24-pc Sets for $200. In most cases, that means a savings of 50-65% off.
